The Times Of Rohan!

I have not blogged for past 3 weeks or so! Every weekend i have a choice to either read or blog or take a nap in the time Ro sleeps. Last weekend Ro was a on a roll he was awake for almost 3 hours in the middle of the night, so by Sunday afternoon i was so smashed that i choose to sleep while Ramesh put Rohan to sleep and slept next to him! :)

So here are tit bits whats the "Chotta Raksha" has been upto! (Not a new name.. i just mentioned it first time!.. he is becoming a total brat.... if he sits for more than a minute at one place i would worry if something is wrong with him!)

a) We attended a wedding last saturday (25-26th July). There was a lil girl most probably Ro's age, i took him to her cause he likes kids, he smiles shakes hands etc. But surprise surprise , before i could react he pulled her hair. The poor girl started crying. I was so apologetic to her granny, had Rohan been a lil older i would have chastised him then and there.

b) On sunday i.e. 26th July a friend came with her son who is exactly a month younger to Rohan. His name is Daniel (yeah like James Bond Daniel Craig!). Now Daniel is a very sweet baby, soft, and unlike Rohan he seems very delicate. Rohan was so amused to see him. When we put both of them on floor, they kind of watched each other but they are too young to really reach out or play. Rohan being the older one still reacted and Touched Daniel, he got so excited that he came crawling towards me with a glee as if to say “Oh gosh see ma I touched some thing new!.

Daniel was excited too but more with changed surroundings, he saw Rohan’s walker and crawled towards it. He was standing holding it , it was then something registered on Rohan and he too went and stood there as if to let Daniel know who the walker belonged to. Rohan started banging the balls in the front of the walker and Daniel too did the same, then Rohan gave a him light shove. Thank god he didn’t push him, Rohan is capable of that. When he pushes with his feet against my stomach it really hurts.. hence I know. I removed Rohan away from the poor kid , then we put Daniel in the walker and he ran helter skelter. Though Rohan was observing but didn’t really stop the kid from using his walker. Once the walker game over, I placed a single teddy bear between the two…. That’s it.. Rohan decided enough is enough.. he caught hold of the Teddy and crawled away from Daniel at a fast speed that he could manage, and then crawled up the low sitting. Poor Daniel was so lost he didn’t know where the Teddy went!
So this was Rohan’s close encounter with kid of his own age! He is not gonna be one to be cowed down in school! Ha h ah ha we have interesting times ahead!

c) 5-Aug: Rohan’s first Rakhi. He enjoyed the new clothes, the tikka , arati, and then the Rakhis on his hands. One of the Rakhi’s my sis 6 year old daughter sent had a monkey, that’s the one he enjoyed most. But since the Rakhi sent my BIL’s daughters was so colourful , it was the first victim to be pulled into pieces. I am glad he atleast let me tie them on his hands.

d) 8-Aug: Rohan in his delirious state of playing went and hit his head on the skirting and got a bump with a cut. Cried , puked and slept. Ramesh is off to watch “Magadeheera” latest Telugu flick which is 2nd movie of Charan Teja (Chiranjeevi’s son). He has taken his momma and dad too…. Family bonding without the bahu .. wah! Wah! J ha ha ha ha (my SIL will laugh reading this) I too watch Telugu movies but I am not so dedicated to leave Ro on a Saturday and go. Also I don’t like too much violence. Not all Telugu movies have violence some are real nice. In recent time I liked Gamyam, Happy Days , Vinayakdu. I liked Gharshana too, which had loads of violence but slick, with a reason and it had Venktaesh, I like that guy though after Gharshan he has done this line faltu movies which were huge hits but I didn’t like a single of those.

Now this part of Gult movies will make all my friends laugh… Shweta watching telugu movies! But u know that’s the benefit of a cross language marriage , a new set of music and cinema opens to you. I even listen to a set of Telegu songs even when driving alone ( Anand Gharshana, a few others!)

e) Rohan is making my in-lwas sit outside the house all the time when he goes down. Poor grandparents they take turns in the morning so that they can finish their ablutions, making breakfast etc. If they wake up late and want Rohan to stay inside for a few minutes while they are finishing coffee the lil dude makes so much ruckus as if being inside is a sin.

f) Rohan starts his breakfast full enthu with hunger by the end of it he is somehow tolerating the food being shoved inside his mouth. The other day Ramesh came inside while Rohan still had a few spoons left, the look he was giving his dad was as if “ ye mummy chod nahi rahi, please take me”….. I told him “Beta last spoon!” he ate it, then I again said “ Promise promise this is last spoon!” It was hilarious the way he implored to Ramesh ki bahiya ye mummy ka last spoon katam nahi ho raha! We both laughed so much at his expression!

g) I bought short stories by Hector Hugh Munro pen name :”Saki”, I have read a few , they are good satire. But believe me this is the first time I think I will need to read a book with the dictionary next to me!

h) No plans to watch LAK, will wait for DVD to be launched. But waiting for Kaminey!

I) Rohan has started eating porridge at night. I am yet to come up with an alternative to Cerelac in his breakfast. Planning to try idli soaked in milk as someone suggested. Only making iddli before his breakfast time is a tad difficult. Lets see.

j) I was disappointed with Mr. Obama’s comments after arrest of Harvard professor. I have limited info garnered from net, my only point is… he should not have that “black” psyche impact.. a president cannot. As far as politicians within our country.. all are equally rotten… koi point hi nahi rah gaya hai! Can a Shashi Tharoor make a difference? Is Rahul Gandhi any good or is he a just a handsome guy! ( Rajiv Gandhi looked nicer than him! But this dude pulled off the great Indian election drama like no one ever predicted ! )

That’s it for now! I mean how much can one blabber!
